TWO in TIME features the combined artistry of vocalist Katy Furuya and composer/guitarist Nate Hatico.
John Berger, the entertainment columnist for the Honolulu Star Bulletin has called TWO in TIME "an exquisite collaboration."
They first achieved recognition when Nate's composition Maunawili Lullaby was selected for the Hawaii Homegrown '97 Song Competition.
In 2000, they released their first CD, SUMMER SONG, a collection of original music which received favorable reviews from local media and internet sites such as GodsofMusic.Com and John Books Hawaiian Music Reviews.
John Book's Hawaiian Music Review wrote, "Summer Song is a mix of easy going ballads and pretty pop tunes. Hatico and Furuya...have a bright future as musical artists."
Dennis Jennings of GODSofMUSIC.Com wrote, "The vocals have a siren like quality that evokes images of a tropical paradise of sea and sand. The lyrics have poetic imagery of birds gliding on the sea breeze."
Their latest release, NAKED UNDER COVERS, features intimate performances of some of their favorite love songs. Drawing from jazz, pop, and soul influences, the stylish musical arrangements all bear the distinctive musical signature of TWO in TIME ... a perfect blending of the clear, sweet tones of Katy's voice and the shimmering textures coaxed from Nate's guitar.
